FAQs

Hi, welcome to our FAQ page where we hope to answer some questions and make your using DJMIX.com a little easier. We are very much in Beta with DJMIX.com so, as much as we’ve tried to launch with as few issues as possible, there probably are some. This page will be constantly evolving….

I clicked to stream a mix and nothing happens.

Some mixes take a while to load before playing–sometimes up to a minute depending on your connection and the source. We only link to mixes from legal sources and while we do all we can to make sure our links are fast and reliable sometimes the servers we are linking to can be slow. In particular mixes that are encoded in M4A format (Tiësto uses this format for example) can take a while to cue up. If the mix will not play in the browser, try clicking the “Download” button and play it from your hard drive. If the wait is more than a minute, then the link might be bad. Please report any issues with broken links to us here.

How do I download the mixes?

If you are using a Windows computer right-click on the Download icon and save the file to your computer. If you are using a Mac right-click or control/click on the Download icon and save the file.

Should I be worried about viruses when I download?

We are linking you to the original source of the mix. We check the downloads and as much as possible we try to make sure the links are good and not directing you or causing you to download any viruses or malicious files. But this is the internet and we do recommend you use usual caution and common sense when downloading anything.

Are your mixes legal?

We do not host any mixes on DJMIX.com or DJMIX.com owned servers. We only post about and link to mixes that are from legal sources and are DJ/artist sanctioned or from the DJ/artist sanctioned sources. We do not knowingly post any mixes, music or media that are from torrents, clipped from satellite radio or any other illegal sources. Please let us know if you feel we have posted any illegal content following the guidelines here.

I only like Dubstep. How do I listen to Dubstep mixes.

At the moment the best way to drill down into genres or specific artists is using the Tag Cloud on the right sidebar. We are trying to make our page layout as clear and easy to use as possible so have avoided having multiple menus everywhere. We welcome your suggestions though. Hit us on the Contact form here.

Did you know that deadmau5 isn’t actually a DJ?

Yes we do but a he’s considered one by many so while we know that Joel is a producer and composer in his own right we have took the liberty to group him in with the DJs to start. We’ll be starting a separate Artist category and section for DJMIX.com very soon.

I have another question.

Hit us up here. We will do our best to get back to you ASAP.
